The Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (BUD Fund) is to provide funding support for Hong Kong enterprises in exploring and developing in Chinese Mainland and specific overseas markets through developing brands, upgrading and restructuring their operations and promoting domestic sales. To further support SMEs, enhancement measures will be introduced in June 2026.
Enhancement Measures:
expansion of the geographical scope of the BUD Fund to cover Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Hungary, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Brazil for "General Application" and "Easy BUD" applications;
increasing the funding ceiling per “Easy BUD” application to $150,000; and
providing more targeted funding support for enterprises to implement BUD Fund projects which involve artificial intelligence (AI) elements.
As the implementer, HKPC will conduct a seminar to introduce the “General Application”, “Easy BUD” and "E-commerce Easy", including the application guidelines, application procedure and assessment criteria. After the presentation session, participants can open a BUD online account onsite and join the free one-to-one consultation.
