Dear Sir/Madam,

Indoor Air Quality Management for Healthcare,

Religious, and Social Welfare Facilities

To improve indoor air quality and enhance public awareness in this area, the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) launched the voluntary "Indoor Air Quality Certification Scheme for Offices and Public Places" (the "the Scheme") in 2003. The purpose of this scheme is to encourage owners and managers to adopt good indoor air quality management practices. Generally, places equipped with Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning (MVAC) can participate in the "the Scheme."

The Indoor Air Quality Information Centre is hosting this seminar to introduce the "the Scheme" to owners, managers, and users of healthcare facilities and religious and social welfare facilities with Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning. It will also share relevant indoor air quality management measures within these premises. The government encourages eligible places to actively participate in the "the Scheme" to achieve good indoor air quality.
