“Quantum Technology Awareness Promotion Programme in HK & GBA”

Organised by the Hong Kong Productivity Council and funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission, the “Quantum Technology Awareness Promotion Programme in HK & GBA” has received enthusiastic support for the training courses and laboratory visits held earlier. As such, HKPC specially announced the launch of Hong Kong's first large-scale "Quantum Technology Symposium" as the finale event, assembling industry experts and scholars to share the insights into the prospects and opportunities of quantum technology.
The Symposium will gather experts and professors from Quantum Scientia, Tencent, the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as keynote speakers. An array of keynote speeches and round-table panel discussions will cover the major topics in quantum technology, including quantum computing, quantum cryptography, and the impact of quantum technology on cyber security in simple terms. In view of the pandemic situation, to safeguard public health and support the HKSAR Government’s efforts in combatting against COVID-19, starting from 31 May 2022, all visitors of HKPC Building (including employees, contractors, visitors and members of the public, except for exempted persons and persons with “recovery record QR code”) must show their vaccine pass with at least three doses of COVID-19 vaccine or at least two doses of COVID-19 vaccine with the second dose received within six months for entering the HKPC Building. Persons under the category of Red Code are not allowed to enter the HKPC Building. Event and training course participants with Amber Code are also not allowed to enter.
